"Smart epic fantasy! Deep world building and character development. If you loved Wheel of Time or Game of Thrones you should give this a shot." – Anders C., Amazon Review

My name is Jean, and I believe in hope.

We live in damaging times. An era, that in many ways, is hurting our hope. Crises everywhere we look, leaders who don’t believe in the common good, people struggling to make ends meet and feeling like there’s no end to the problems that plague us as an earth-community.

I feel that way sometimes. Sometimes the world overwhelms me, and I need to just bury my nose in a good book to get away from it all. Sometimes, I can’t turn on the news, or even open my computer, because of the culture of negativity that we’re immersed in.

But I’m going a different way. I’m building, bit by bit, a world of hope. MY world of hope. A world where people can change. A world where our fears do not define us. A world where our hearts open. A world where we, as people, can be different, simply because we believe we can be.

A world where we practice that inner knowing – that we can change.

And that we change the world just by changing our hearts.

This is what I write into my art. This is what I write into my passion. These stories I create, they’re far more than a fun, gripping, creative ride. They’re messages of hope, directly from my heart to yours. Because I believe the world can be different. I believe we, like my characters, can change.

And I believe that we can all do this, together, building amazing worlds.

I have hope.

Won’t you join me?

“Once in a while a phenomenon happens. When it does, all existing icons are tumbled. New standards get set. A new legend gets born. The Kingsmen Chronicles is such a phenomenon.” – Manie K., Amazon Review

"Imaginative and downright compelling, Jean Lowe Carlson is a master storyteller that can write with the best of them. A rightful comparison to George R.R. Martin, Joe Abercrombie, and Patrick Rothfuss of The Kingkiller Chronicles fame. A must read series for anyone who loves a good epic fantasy book to sink their teeth into.”

– Alina H., Amazon Review

Blood soils the hands of the righteous. Darkness fills the hearts of the brave. War rages as nations fall to an ancient and ruthless power.

Now, bitter enemies must rise as one under the banner of an outcast with a terrifying magic that could destroy them all. Dreams will die and legends will be born in this epic conclusion to The Kingsmen Chronicles.

"Richly set and beautifully told, Carlson paints a story filled with love, lust, and tragedy. She captures the tortured emotions of temptation and desire perfectly and leaves you wanting more." - Chris Patchell, author of In the Dark
